Sky Sports has released the first set of live Premier League fixtures for the new footbal season which will see the a year full of HD football on Sky TV.

There will be 115 live Premier League games shown this season, all of which will be available in high definition.

The first match of the season will be Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester City and you’ll be able to watch on Sky Sports HD2 on Saturday August 14.

The first Ford Super Sunday of the season will be Liverpool v Arsenal, live on Sky Sports HD1, followed by the return of Ford Monday Night Football between Manchester United and Newcastle United on Sky Sports HD1 on August. 16.

The fixtures are part of a record number of live HD football matches across four dedicated Sky Sports HD channels; Sky Sports HD1, Sky Sports HD2, Sky Sports HD3 and Sky Sports HD4.Sky Sports News will also be available in HD in August.

Sky Sports are commited to showing:

  • ALL THE CLUBS: Every single team, which includes the 3 new teams promoted last season. Shown at least once by the beginning of November.
  • BIG HEAD-TO-HEADS: The six matches between last year’s top five teams will see six major derbies plus Manchester United v Liverpool on September 19.
  • FORD MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL: The return of Monday Night Football, starting with Manchester United v Newcastle United at Old Trafford on August 16.
  • HD & 3D: Every match will be available in Sky HD, providing the very best picture quality and sound. Selected live matches will also be in 3D which will work with all existing Sky+HD boxes and initially be introduced at no extra cost for customers who subscribe to Sky’s top TV package and the Sky HD pack.
